Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 (or of majority age in your jurisdiction). Accounts must be registered truthfully and kept secure. Report issues to contact@askmycv.io.

2. Services and Usage

AskMyCV provides AI-powered CV and cover letter generation, and hosts your CV on a publicly viewable profile.

3. Fees and Payments

The Service is paid-only. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled. Refunds are provided only as required by law or under any explicit refund policy stated at purchase. Billing questions: contact@askmycv.io.

4. User Content and Public CV Publication

By creating a CV, you agree it becomes public. You retain ownership but license AskMyCV to host and display it.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You must not misuse the Service by posting unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. Violations may lead to suspension or termination.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

AskMyCV owns the platform and grants you a limited license for personal use. Feedback may be freely used by AskMyCV.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via settings or contact@askmycv.io. We may suspend or terminate for violations or non-payment.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. We do not guarantee that generated outputs (including CVs, cover letters, and AI suggestions) are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose. AI systems can produce errors or misleading content, and you are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and using outputs at your own discretion.

AskMyCV does not provide legal, career, or professional advice, and no outcome (such as interviews, offers, or job placement) is guaranteed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is capped at the greater of fees paid in the last 12 months or €100, except where prohibited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify AskMyCV against claims from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

We integrate with third parties (Stripe, OpenAI, Mistral). Their terms and privacy policies apply.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Austrian law. Disputes may be brought before Austrian courts. Contact contact@askmycv.io before legal action.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

14. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement. Invalid clauses are severable.

15. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in the European Union and you purchase our services by means of distance selling (e.g., online), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

Withdrawal period: 14 days from the day of contract conclusion (for services) or, where applicable, from the day you gain access to the paid features.

By proceeding to checkout, you expressly request that we begin providing the digital service immediately during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins.

How to exercise: Send a clear statement of withdrawal by email to contact@askmycv.io. You may use the model withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory. Timely dispatch before the period ends is sufficient.

Effects of withdrawal: We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (if any), without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw, using the same means of payment used for the initial transaction unless otherwise agreed.

Commencement of performance / loss of the right of withdrawal: For digital services not supplied on a tangible medium, your right of withdrawal expires once we have begun to perform the contract after you have (i) expressly requested that we begin performance during the withdrawal period, and (ii) acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins.

Non‑EU consumers: No statutory EU right of withdrawal applies to consumers whose habitual residence is outside the EU.
